Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive Lhasa – Altitude Acclimatisation
Arrive at Lhasa Gonggar Airport and be welcomed with a traditional Tibetan khata scarf. Transfer to city hotel for rest and acclimatisation at 3,650m.

Day 2
Potala Palace Square – Yaowang Hill Lookout – Barkhor Street
Photo stop at the Potala Palace, then the classic elevated shot from Yaowang Hill. Afternoon wandering the pilgrimage circuit of Barkhor Street, immersing in Tibetan culture.

Day 3
Pre-Ride Briefing & High-Altitude Test Ride
Morning safety and route briefing covering high-altitude riding essentials. Afternoon guided test ride around Lhasa to get comfortable with the bike and the thin air.

Day 4
Lhasa → Yamdrok Lake → Karola Glacier → Gyantse (~280km)
Cross Gampa La pass (4,990m) to the turquoise holy lake Yamdrok, then ride past the dramatic Karola Glacier. Via Manla Reservoir to historic Gyantse.

Day 5
Gyantse → Shigatse → G318 5,000km Marker → Lhatse (~240km)
Pass through Shigatse — Tibet's second city — then the iconic G318 highway 5,000km milestone photo. River valley riding through to Lhatse.

Day 6
Lhatse → Gyatso La → Gawula Pass → Everest Base Camp → Zhaxizong (~200km)
Cross Gyatso La (5,248m), then Gawula Pass for jaw-dropping views of five 8,000m peaks. Board a park bus for the final stretch to Everest Base Camp at 5,200m+.

Zhaxizong → Gawula Pass → Shigatse (~290km)
Return via Gawula Pass with fresh perspectives on the Himalayan panorama, then ride back through pastoral Tibetan valleys to Shigatse.

Day 8
Shigatse → Nyemo → Qushui → Lhasa (~270km) – Farewell Dinner
Follow the Yarlung Tsangpo river back to Lhasa via Nyemo, the birthplace of Tibetan incense. Return bikes, collect your commemorative medal, and enjoy a farewell banquet.

Lhasa Departure – Fly Home
Transfer to Lhasa Gonggar Airport per individual flight schedules and fly home, carrying memories of the world's roof.

What to Bring
- Full-face helmet meeting DOT or international standards (mandatory)
- Riding jacket and trousers, body armour, gloves, and riding boots
- Windproof / waterproof shell and warm layers plus personal medication for high altitude and cold
- Altitude sickness medication (e.g. acetazolamide — consult your doctor)
- IDP, Hong Kong motorcycle licence, and China mainland motorcycle licence
Terms & Conditions
- Suitable for riders aged 18–60 with at least 2 years' riding experience, in good health, holding a valid motorcycle licence.
- Riders must obtain a China mainland motorcycle licence independently before departure.
- Itinerary may be adjusted for weather, road conditions, or safety.
- Once confirmed, generally non-refundable except for insufficient group numbers or force majeure.
- Not recommended for those with serious cardiovascular or respiratory conditions or a history of severe altitude sickness.
